Position:

We are seeking a full-time Creamery Assistant to work in our cheese making facility on our farm in South Woodstock. This position will be 40 hours a week and will report to the Head Cheesemaker. Part time opportunities may be available as well. 

Schedule: Four 10 hour shifts. Mon-Thur or Tue-Fri.

Compensation: $16-20/hr based on experience, paid time off, medical insurance.

Location: On-site at our dairy farm and creamery in South Woodstock, VT 

More about the position:

The art of cheesemaking involves a considerable amount of cleaning, sanitation, and attention to detail. We are looking for the right candidate to assist in making cheese along with all aspects of the process. The position is extremely physically demanding and requires physical stamina. 

Required Experience / Knowledge / Skills: 

● Experience working in a clean environment is preferred. 

● Knowledge of HACCP and food safety or willingness to learn. 

● Ability to lift 60+ pounds and bend.

● Must be able to follow directions and cleaning protocols. 

● Must be able to hustle at times and work on your feet for the majority of the work day.

● Good written and verbal communication. 

● Team player who is also motivated to work independently. 

● Excited to jump in to understand the scope of our business from our fields, to our cows, to our cheese, to our customers. 

● Love of cheese is a plus!
